More about position fits and lack thereof although I question that data regardless. I appreciate the effort guys like lingard and shorter make but counting them as "5 stars" is pretty deceiving. Wingo was a high 4 or 5 if I recall but is a tweener. We haven't gotten production out of black or borders over 2 different staffs now. It goes on and on. Clearly we could be better than our record shows because we still have "talent" but star numbers isn't a great way to quantify realized talent. Especially since we lost experienced pieces from last years team without replacing any of them on the defensive side from the portal.

FTR I support Napier and am critical at the same time.

 

Others might conclude a number of thigs, such as:
-Not all "blue chip" recruits are created equal (see UGA last Sat.)
-Dumpster fires don't give two hoots how many stars you had in HS (see too many 5* busts to enumerate here)
-Dumpster fires can ignite spontaneously when "blue chip" players blow up the locker-room
