Decent choice but he just went to Washington. If we could get him I wouldn't be mad about the selection though honestly I haven't followed Arizona enough to know much more than his record.
Here is the thing. He has to do good and if that’s the case the team does good and there is no reason to fire Pittman
I like Jeff Brohm really good offensive mind. What could he do with UF resources and the nearby talent. Young but lots of experience and yes, no one can win at Purdue.
Fisch is 48 so age is not much of an issue. He's making 7.75 million a year at UW. Should take 10-12 million for him to leave Washington for his alma mater.
Pretty funny. But I think Ga Tech's Brent Key is a coach on the rise in college football for 2024. All the other coaches mentioned as possible hires? Who knows. It's a crap shoot and no one is a guarantee, no matter their resume. We'll see how things go for the rest of Tech's season under Key. I've seen the way Key connects with Tech's players as he's clearly a players' coach, he's making strong moves on the recruiting trail. Agree that he won't leave his alma mater, GT, but he has this year to prove he's the real deal. I'm betting on it. So much so that as an alum from GT and UF, I'm thinking that I'll be looking forward to watching GT football more so than UF. I haven't said that in a long time. Maybe back before Spurrier arrived. Sad but true. Been a Gator my whole life. Obviously will still tune in to the Gators but not with the same enthusiasm until they send BN packing. And let DJ take over. Hire an inspirational interim HC. Give the Gator team a chance for 2024. Bring it on. Go Gators! ( and Go Jackets! Beat the dawgs!). I guess i should head on over to the Yellow Jackets' forum. LOL. Let me know when BN is gone.
He’s a UF grad who was a GA under SOS and was roommates with Eagles GM Howie Roseman as an undergrad. Combine that with what he did at Arizona ans ann offensive guy and he checks a ton of boxes.
Didn't know we had a "knows Howie Roseman" box to check. Obviously he did pretty well at Arizona but they pulled him out of nowhere and that's his only HC gig. Surely the "proven" crowd would object to hiring a guy based off of one winning season.
He was 1-11 in year one, and by year 3 he was 10-3. It’s pretty clear he knew how to resurrect a program at a P5 school, which is exactly what we need. And he did it with offense, which should be a must have for our next coach. If folks feel he hasn’t coached enough years it’s a valid argument. But compared to Lane, who seems to be the preference around here…who has won nothing anywhere outside of 1 divisional title at a non P5 school, has been fired twice, bailed on Saban before a title game and has a sewage plant named after him in Tennessee in appreciation of his time there? Give me a UF grad who understands UF all day long. But to each their own, other names will become hot by seasons end as well, just like every year.
