I couldn’t see Napier getting behind this move, he is much more SloSlo than GoGo.

 

I'm glad someone finally started this thread... Thank you, severnt. He seems like an interesting OC, with an interesting offensive concept.

 

I wouldn't call him "balls to the wall" but with a better Oline and defense I doubt he'd be as slow. Maybe we'll see it in the fall.

 

Is it too late to ask Santa for an innovative OC with a dynamic groundbreaking offense for Christmas? I’ll give all my other presents to the needy if I just got this red rider BB gun. Please Santa please, I’ve been about as good as I could possibly be this year.

Musing from a poster? I mean I remember all the posts saying that Nape was committed to get an OC by the boosters. Little to no movement either means we are bailing water with a solo cup or there is some plan that can’t be enacted yet because the target is coaching for another team who needs to get through their bowl. did a bunch of UF players really start following him? Lots of random stream of consciousness, but I really want us to make a splash move and generate excitement and hope beyond a 5-7 season

 

Sometimes I wonder at those who complain about the offense. By my reckoning, UF averaged 280yds passing in the 10 games that Mertz controlled; and over 29pts/game in the 11 that he played. Without chronic false starts by one Alabama xfer on the OLINE the numbers would have undoubtedly been even better. There was one deliberate slow down in the 2nd half against UT after a fantastic first half.

 

Wonder how Mertz would fit into his offense. Seems like he is pretty reliant on a running QB.

 

Think long term. Mertz is only here for one more year. Than Lagway going forward.
I'm sure this guy can adjust for one yet before full implementation of his O.

 

All correct, though I would still be hyped for this move if only because it's new and different. Should also help some with perception from those that know nothing but still run their mouths.

 

How about the UNLV players, transfers and recruits, have they stopped following Marion on the thing that used be known as twitter? Has he called their parents?
