Yeah, we are actually adding former head coaches with a long resume of experience at the p5 level as off field coaches amd somehow people are still mad. Weird. I didn't hear these complaints when Saban brought in guys like Locksley, Jones, Sark etc. Many 5hought those guys were done and now look. And the list goes on and on of who have resurrected their career after a stint as an analysts.

"Over the last half-decade, Alabama has hired Steve Sarkisian (USC head coach), Mike Locksley (Maryland OC and interim HC), Butch Jones (Tennessee HC), Chris Weinke (Los Angeles Rams quarterbacks coach), Mike Stoops (Oklahoma defensive coordinator) and Major Applewhite (Houston HC) as analysts."

Yeah not much risk with a high upside/reward with adding Enos as a off field role.

    Build the army!!!

Specifically: “Enos joined Alabama for the 2018 season as quarterbacks coach under head coach Nick Sabanas they finished the season with a perfect 13–0 record and a berth in the Orange Bowl as a part of the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship. Enos was widely credited with Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's high completion percentage and passer efficiency rating for the 2018 season.”

Yet somehow people are managing to complain that this vastly overqualified coach will be breaking down film and handling “special projects.”

Maybe Arkansas was too much of a project. I assume coaches that have been around for that long and have worked with some of the best have gathered some wisdom along the side of the road. Not sure why some guys succeed and others don't.

Muschamp was one hell of a defensive mind and a great recruiter. The head coach stuff, not so great.

Hopefully, Napier sees that these guys are contributors and they can add experience to the big picture goals. Why do some coaches do so well at one school and bomb out somewhere else? There are so many moving parts, a confluence of elements contribute to winning and losing.

Sometimes the talent practically makes the coach and sometimes the coach refines the diamond in the rough.

If I knew anything, I suppose I'd be coaching. Anyway, here's to this seasons success.

    Go Gators.;)

Offensive Co coordinator now an off the field offensive coach and special projects coordinator. This gets more bizarre by the day.

Perhaps he’s being brought in to analyze HTF we lost to Arkansas at home last season, even knowing full well it was our best chance at securing a winning record. To me that’s still a “what caused the Bronze Age Collapse?” or “what killed the dinosaurs?” level of mystery.

Well, after the last couple of years results some people think the sky is falling. I'm not sure it's actually falling, but some events have caused us to look up and wonder. I sure the hell hope between all of these hires, and the kids that have committed and chose to be Gators, and all of this constant shuffling we can win a few of those critical games.

I mean Muschamp seemed like a good guy. Zook was a good guy, and the players loved him. Yellow teeth was a good guy and won the SEC East. And, finally, Napier is a good guy, although, while his master plan seems well thought out and is really good for the kids, we all impatiently await to see if that 'on the field product' is gonna kick in...

Our offense still needs to score more points on average.
    Our defense needs drastic improvement.
Our special teams need to be more special.

    And, then came year three...

    Go Gators.

No doubt in my mind that Napier is a “good guy,” so I agree there. I’m not sure that being a good guy is a necessary or even desirable characteristic for management in a competitive environment of this nature. Saban, for instance, was a lot of things, but “good guy” does not come to mind when I think of his top 10 characteristics. I think of some our country’s best wartime generals, and none of them were good guys.

On your second point, that Napier’s master plan seems well thought out, I’m still waiting to be sold. I hate to keep bringing this up, but how much worse do things need to get with special teams before he realizes this “game change coordinator!” thing is dumb and mockworthy?

Good points. So far the plan seems to give hope for the players future. And it's grounded in a systematic approach based on accountability and responsibility. And, we all wonder if the on-field payoff is coming.

Some stuff is a contradiction. Some other stuff is well planned out.

But on field results are what we all await, and so far his results are much worse than his predecessors.

And, we just lost another top recruiter to Ta&m. That can't help!

I want to see Napier succeed...

    Go Gators

Do you follow college football at all? Maybe take a look at the staff at Alabama, UGA, or just about anywhere.

Lol... some of you guys need to chill out. It's not the end of the world and Enos is not the boss here. Some people on that Gator-hater site, The SECRant, have responded just like a few of you have to this hire. But some say that Enos was decent to even good BEFORE HE WENT to Arkansas. I have a feeling that he has knowledge that Napier can use and that's up to our head football coach to decide how to use that information.

Cheer up... it's not as bad as some of you think this is for the Gator football program... in general.
