Don’t like the interference on behalf of a foreign country, but overall we need to get back to moderates who are willing to compromise. I see the opposite thing happening in the R Party though. More cooks.
Laura Loomer takes it down another level or two .... https://www.mediamatters.org/laura-...oomer-lobs-racist-slurs-rep-jamaal-bowman-new
I was talking to a MAGA guy and made a similar point. He said that was a stupid assertion. We are both in our 60s. There has been a border crisis our whole lives. All three branches have been Democrat and Republican. No one has seriously addressed the problem. Everyone knows our medical system is inefficient at best. Hasn't been addressed in our lifetime. Obama put more people into a bad system but didn't make it better. We have known our whole lives that social security was running out of money. Hasn't been addressed. Both Democrats and Republicans are against the U. S. sugar cartel. Both could have addressed it but did not. His view is voting for anyone mainstream whether it's Cruz or Schumer is a wasted vote. Trump is a grifter? Maybe but for 40 years both sides have said the other side is going to destroy SS, immigration, our medical system so send me money so I can stop them. They raised money by lying. Trump might be a grifter but I know they are. And he's not the one who has played me for 40 years. I would vote for Nikki Haley over either of our choices but MAGA isn't as stupid as some here would like to believe.
The problem is when people don’t get what they view as their perfect solution but instead get some sort of compromise, they think that maybe it is better to just blow things up. Problem is that never works - you just end up with a bunch of incompetents in there that makes things worse. All of those issues articulated above are due to unwillingness of voters to compromise and accept the good enough instead of the ideologically perfect. So they elect bombthrowers who accomplish nothing, then complain nothing happens
