You forgot because your minds dhot cuz you old fool. I way younger than you and i cant rember the 80's
Dylan Raiola has been sacked 22 times and only has 12 TD's with 10 INT's. Florida has allowed just 16 sacks, grading as the 13th-best pass blocking team in the nation with an 80.4 PFF grade. Lagway leads all FBS quarterbacks with a 97.3 passing grade on deep throws (20-plus yards) this season. Like our chances much better than the mid-90's.
Actually Wanne, I can remember what happened 50 or 60 years ago a Helluva lot better than what happened 10 minutes ago.
Wanne, I respectfully disagree. Up here in Huntsville, it’s pretty nice. One of the top rated cities in the country.
I e got family up tgere and it is pretty nice. More like Tennessee than alabame but i can see salt water from my livingroom chair. Its only the boyou but the beach is ten minutes away. No can do landlocked. Never have and never will. They are fairly well off and have a lakehouse thats pretty sweet that nody lives in. I was thinking hee haw or something but its really badass.
Just 2 hours ago The Athletic ran article projecting us to Gator Bowl vs Duke. This would be best case scenario as far as best game we could hope for, that is if we beat FSU ( this will be their Super Bowl). This is a huge step up over Gasparilla as December 20 at 3:30 is not a very opportune time to draw fans.
OMG I would love that! I lived in Nebraska for 8 years, including during the Fiasco Bowl at the end of the 1995 season. We have beat them in baseball a few times since, but haven't played them in football since then...
The Florida Gators have had another notable bow projection come in - arguably the best bowl they have been projected to play in yet. The Atheltic released its latest round of bowl projections, matching up the Gators against Duke in the Gator Bowl. While this bowl is technically on the same footing tier-wise as the Las Vegas Bowl, Music City Bowl and Liberty Bowl, it still has the most historical prestige. Historically, it gets the better teams and matchups, has the longest history and the name just holds that much more weight.
True, and it’s played at Protective Stadium, which sounds like it’s named after a condom manufacturer.
I had said this back on Sunday when this thread got going, if we get to 7 wins the gator bowl is always interested. Heck last time we went they took us at 6 wins. It’s surefire TV and gate for them. It’s not a guarantee, we could get knocked down if the playoffs snub some other teams they would like, but especially with FSU out of the bowl picture this year, we are going to be high on their list.
I'm grateful that we are going to a bowl game no matter the opponent. But a possible Duke or Nebraska match up really gets me excited.
I would like to see our guys travel to see something different, because those swag bags probably don't mean much to someone who is paid well already. I also would like to see them play someone higher rated to prepare them for next year even if we lose.
I get Nebraska, but why does a Duke matchup excite you? Manny Diaz has done a remarkable job there year 1, but they are not nearly as good as their record suggests. I think UF would blow them out but it wouldn't boost the program's credibility the way the Ole Miss and LSU wins did.
