Subterfuge is very unNapierlike. BN is a Revolutionary War era general who marches his army out into an open field and stacks them in tightly spaced rows so they can attempt to fight while you blast away at them.

Even if his troops were suddenly armed with laser guns from the future he’d still follow his original plan (process).

Lagway is the future and could save Billy’s job.. I don’t know about y’all, but to me it’s simple. Start DJ.

What? You're advocating booing our head coach?

Pretty easy for Billy cause if Mertz looks bad early, make the switch and don’t look back. That Aggie D Line is elite so having a mobile QB would seem like the right call but I’m not a coach so what do I know?

There’s really one thing that got fans excited about the team looking forward- starting DJ. BN has to throw a wet blanket on that too.

I just have a different perspective on these players now. They wanted to get paid to play and now they are. Now they need to grow up and learn that when you are getting paid to produce and provide a piss-poor performance you are going to get to hear about it. If they get boo'ed I have one piece of advice: Suck it up Buttercup.

I’ve been a supporter of CBN since he was hired; I was hoping for some growth and success although I couldn’t swear it would happen. Now, I’m just getting weary at the product on the field. I can take some losses en route to a better football program; but, after 3.16 seasons, we keep seeing the same things and while they may be correctable, they are not being corrected. Some of these include:
Poor decisions in hiring major assistant coaches.
    Poor time management.
    Poor play calling.
In game situational lack of awareness.
Lack of in game adjustments, strategy alterations.
Seemingly low energy amongst players in the game.
Repeated bonehead mistakes/penalties during games - like roughing the passer including twice in Miami game; why not sit the players who do this on the bench and let them think about it?
At some point, why bother to say something is correctable if it’s never corrected?
I’d love to win a fair share of our remaining games this season but we all know it’s not going to happen, he knows it’s not going to happen
I’m still watching though and hoping we get better stat!

So you're saying our offense has the lethality, effective range and accuracy of a Brown Bess smooth bore flintlock musket?

Doesn’t matter who starts. Nothing matters. The excuse for a coach has made us a Sun Belt team.

Mertz had by far the hot hand in the 2nd half so why do you keep playing Lagway who's struggling and inexperienced. Napier has absolutely no ability to adapt in game whatsoever. He scripted the QB's this way so that's the way it had to be. This to me is the absolute worst attribute a coach can have & apparently warning signs were there from his days at Clemson.

SS should be held responsible & if he stays, he cannot be allowed to be in any part of hiring the new football coach. An indefensible hire that should cost him the job. Napier should be fired tomorrow. Can't recruit anyone now and he's a lameduck coach the rest of the year, which is terrible for the team. The buyout is already big enough so it's time to eat it and start over. At least the team can be looser and not have that hanging over him the rest of the season.

In retrospect, Samford was probably the best highschool team DJ Lagway has played. He looked every bit the freshman today.
