Most of them don’t stay in detention. They get on a bus to wherever they want to go and wait for a future court date that they may not even bother to go to.

In your world the lottery would be to buy a ticket, announce a winner, people come to collect the prize, no ticket necessary and everybody claiming they won is paid, on their honor, and a year later scheduling a hearing to see if their numbers matched.

Yes Hochul is a clown too (and certainly has wealthy donors in NYC), I mean she was trying to put a pro-life Republican on the court and got shot down. Not surprised she uses Republican talking points!

First of all, in my world winning the lottery wouldnt be a future of working for $10 hour doing drywall in 100 degree heat. Its not the golden ticket lol.

they are all criminals under the US law. Hence the term “illegal”

it is a misdemeanor to cross the border without permission, and it is a felony to cross the border after being denied entry (or deported) or to remain in the United States when your permission expires. 8 U.S.C. § 1326.

to suggest it is not a crime is just wrong.

LOL. I don’t think you understand what the term “practice what you preach means.”

on the contrary, it is perfectly logical. As an American, the geographical borders are my house. The borders are the boundaries in which you must seek permission to enter, if you wish to go there. This is the same as your house. This is why you have a door, and people knock on your door, and you invite them in. If you don’t invite them in, and they come in regardless, you shoot them or stab them, or vice versa.

Unless someone is preaching immigrants should literally live in other people's spare rooms and not theirs, I'm not sure you do either chief

I don't want citizens living in my house without my permission. Why would I want immigrants doing the same? Now, picking my crops, or closer to my house, stocking the local store shelves, or at my house doing the landscaping? Sure. No problem with any of that as long as they are getting a fair wage.

And while officially we haven't invited many of them, unofficially, we have with our demand for their labor through the generations. An demand that will continue regardless of what we do. We could have made the situation better over a decade ago in 2007, or 10 years ago in 2013 had we followed the bipartisan Senate Committee recommendations.

As for fearing immigrant terrorists? Again, what terror cell is going to meticulously plan out an attack for years and rely on an entry into the US where statistically 1 in 3 will get caught at the border? None. This link goes into further detail the very low risk of terrorists ever coming in through Mexico. Greater risk terrorists will come in through Canada, a border that is virtually unguarded.

They are not. You do not have nearly the same rights in the geopolitical boundaries of this country as you do in your house. Heck, your own argument falls apart, because the person's house you are trying to get into in your hypothetical is also in this country
So, by your own logic, you would have the right to walk into it, as it is within your house, a place you have the right to walk into without anybody else's invitation. But you also admit that you don't have that right. As such, your argument is illogical.

You don’t want them inside your home. Okay fine. How about all the illegals are shipped to the town you live in.
    Let’s do that.

Correct. Most agreed that sections of wall at specific locations made sense. On the other hand, a coast to coast wall made little sense.

Yeah, that is non responsive. Is that because you now realize that there is a difference between a house and a country?

no, I was actually mocking you for having tunnel vision by using two mammals from the canidae family to demonstrate that all wolves are canines and all dogs are canines, but dogs are not wolves.

It was a 5th grade logic problem, but you failed.

You tried to make an absurd claim and I caught you doing it and pointed out the reason it was absurd. Now, you are unable to refute that using actual logic, so you are just swinging wildly. Sorry that is how things went for you. Next time, think through your arguments better and it won't continue to happen to you here.

Only to people with a basic sense of logic. You tried to claim that somebody is a hypocrite if they want looser immigration laws but don't let immigrants live in their houses. Then, you tried to claim that a country is like a house. That led to the obviously beyond you point that is obvious to most people: a country and a house are obviously different in important ways that make your claim of hypocrisy nonsense. Obviously.

I can draw you a picture if that is more on your level.
