Chicago is now getting overwhelmed with migrants and letting the WH hear about it. Local Chicago residents (especially lower income sections) are becoming increasingly angry and vocal over the influx. Chicago is a sanctuary city. Texas is continuing to bus migrants there.

I'm yet to see a number of miles of border wall that makes the border secure. How many miles of wall do you need to declare that, specifically?

Lol, apparently they are doing this because CBP had use it or lose it funds from 2019, and they couldn't just not spend it. So now we get another wall because CBP has to spend all their money to "secure the border" that never seems to secure the border.

 

Perhaps we shouldn't incentivize Fentanyl with our drug laws. Fentanyl's primary advantage to a drug cartel is because it is hard to stop due to its concentration.

Well, that seems like a very definite policy goal rather than a bottomless pit of useless spending.

 

There is a phrase for this type of thinking. "Throwing good money after bad." Or maybe, "Throwing money down the toilet." The border has never been "secure" throughout our history. Throwing money at a wall that won't stop or even slow most people down won't fix it. We've been building walls since the 1980s. How we doing so far?

 

Let's do nothing! There is the answer! Send them all to Chicago, NYC and any other sanctuary city. They asked for it, let's give it to them.
