Not an Indiana fan at all but i sure do miss those kinds of fiery coaches. This would have been the perfect game to throw a chair at Valentine RIP B Knight
Lmao heck ya he woulda. I like the post game interview video when he just starts cussin and ends it himself. edit. On you tube it’s Bobby Knight disappointed lol.
i know the video…. He is talking normally, and then just gets so annoyed… smacks the chair, cusses and leaves!
Well we didn’t help ourselves but the refs sure didn’t help at all. We had a chance. We’ve had a chance to win in all 3 losses.
True story. couple of years ago we played in Charleston against Xavier and I was right next to our bench. Teddy made one of his TV Teddy calls, one of our assistants threw his hands up in the air finally just exasperated with the Teddy show. Teddy saw it and teed him up. MW calls Teddy over and asks why he deserved a T, and Teddy said “I took that the same as an F You.” That’s who we were dealing with tonight. It’s his show and everyone else are merely bit players. And he will make sure you know it too.
Throws a chair and the announcer says, “there’s a good chance he’s been ejected from this basketball game” Very different times….
I was at the game tonight, 3rd row opposite the Gator bench. Teddy was chatting it up with the Wake fans in the courtside seats during dead balls. Fans were asking him to T up one of our players at one point and he told them “I control this game”.
So you’ve seen it twice then, you were a witness to the Xavier one too right? I didn’t make that up? On second thought, maybe it’s when you go to games! Just kidding, mostly…
I was at the Charleston Classic too. Teddy is one of the worst. Along with Doug Shows. And yes, I’m wondering if it’s me also.
You are correct and it can be validated in a few minutes on the net. I knew he was a lousy, cheating, biased ref but I didn’t know how widely this is known until I did a modicum of research. CTG even referred to it in his postgame presser. The coaches know; the ACC coaches know too but they will take all the help they can get.
