Got it.... The republicans put up a senile, rapist, treasonous, dictator wanna be, facing almost 100 criminal charges ...

But Biden once said "54" when he meant "44", so he's just as bad ...

The office of POTUS is much more than just the one guy at the top. That's why it's often referred to as the XXX Administration. And agreed, Biden could show up drooling all over himself and be 100% completely incoherent, and I'd still vote for him over Trump! So would many of Trump's former administration.

And sorry, this is a binary choice. Third party candidates have 0% chance of winning. I'm not throwing my vote away because one guy is a few years older. Especially when the other guy is a true threat to democracy.

I in no way support anyone voting for trump. So we are clear. You are voting for the senile extremely old person. Got it.

Let's be honest. If this election didn't present us with a viable third party candidate, it isn't happening anytime soon. That being the case, it's really a binary choice between Biden and Trump. Choosing not to vote for either doesn't give anyone the high ground to look down their nose at anyone else. If you don't want to vote for either fine, but don't act like it's some noble stand to avoid being part of the problem. One of those two guys is going to be the President.

Your damn right I feel good not voting for trump in either 16 or 20. And I am happy I didn't vote D on either ticket as well. You can feel the way you do but I will not vote for someone who I don't think would do a good job as president. That's the difference between you and me. I'm not thumbing my nose at anyone else, except when they try to justify their vote as saying "it's ok, I'll vote for the senile guy over the dirtbag". Both are unqualified to be president IMO. I agree one of those 2 will be president because we have a terrible system and the voters have been awful putting forth a decent candidate on either side since 2012. That is the biggest problem I see.

I voted for Johnson over Hillary and trump. I thought Hillary would win and almost did it as a protest vote. I learn from my mistakes. The lesser of two evils is still better than the greater of two evils.

Anything I can do to help. Hopefully either side will put a decent candidate up in 28. Not holding my breath. I am getting myself mentally prepared for 4 years of countless trump posts from the left if he somehow wins in Nov.

90% of that post was a direct Trump quote, so I won't take it personally....

Wow!!! That was about thirty minutes of reading that I could have just listen to at elementary school playground!!! Is this what we have become?
I know you are but what am I!!!
The last 6 pages of this thread, all but a couple can do better and most of the time do.
Do any of you even remember what this thread was about? I sure don't after reading the playground arguments!!

“This report showed, however, that the jobs economy continues to follow a pattern that began in December of last year: namely, full-time jobs are disappearing and the "job growth" reported so enthusiastically by the media is virtually all part-time jobs. Moreover, nearly a quarter of new payroll jobs are government jobs. If we look more closely at this report, what we really find is that the total number of employed persons has fallen by nearly 400,000 jobs in four months and that 1.8 million full-time jobs have disappeared over the same period. “

    False.

Total employed in December 2023: 161,183,000
Total employed in March 2024: 161,466,000

As such, the author's comment about the total number of employed people is false.

Now, to address full-time vs. part-time. You need to do a bit of math here. Essentially, you need to utilize this equation with their data:

    Full-time workers x (1-(unemployment rate for full-time workers/100))

    December 2023 Full-Time Employed: 128,134,552
    March 2024 Full-Time Employed: 128,021,220

So that claim is false too.

    https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/empsit.pdf

Beyond the obvious false numbers, there is also the fact that part-time for economic reasons has actually fallen substantially over the last 3 months, suggesting that any change in part-time vs. full-time is an employee choice, not a matter of economic conditions.
