There's a bet that if you replaced any OC with ChatGPT, you would have a better record. I would love to see a program do just that. Maybe one that fires their OC in the middle of the season, turn the playcalling over to it. I wouldn't laugh because it's going to happen soon. As programs keep firing their coaches with massive buyouts, the cost to hiring a new coach gets higher and higher. There will be a tipping point in the next 5 years where a program will use AI to call plays. Think about it, we already have AI besting the world's best chess players. In fact, a chess player's ranking is computed from the baseline of AI, where AI has the best score. Sure, you lose the human factor of unpredictability, but if AI chose the best plays for most of the game, you wouldn't need the unpredictability. AI can read defenses faster than any human. It all comes down to execution.

 

Get rid of the players too since they don't execute every play right and now college players come with a cost.

I totally agree and I am still frustrated and mad and I try to keep it to myself as much as I can but sometimes it’s not possible

 

It all came down to execution last week. Execution breaks down when you lose the majority of your one on one battles because the plate is no longer executable.
