Oregon looking like geniuses. Find a way to get rid of Diaz at Miami so they could get rid of Christobal to Miami and get Dan Lanning. That team is a direct reflection of their coach unlike soft Oregon teams of the past.

 

I understand, I just wanted to point out the incentive needs to be substantial and not just for winning it all as you stated but incremental for wins. A guaranteed 30 mil buyout outweighs any small incentive for winning it all.

 

I was bummed about Napier’s meaningless press conferences until I watched Clarke Leah’s postgame PC. He justified playing Seals by actually saying out loud, “he gives us a chance to punt.” Makes CBN look sound like Gen Patton

 

Glad the team played with some intensity, might have done better against UK or ARK. The old teams of 2007-2010 had this.

We are just to weak on the OL and DL, which makes everything harder. I think we need to revisit the strength and conditioning program see what we can improve.

I don't think our player was out of line too much. The LSU player threw hands to.our lineman face right in front of the ref, well after the play was dead. Why that was not called 1st idk, but the initial penalty should of been on LSU.

 

No, we don’t. Daniel’s talent would get wasted with Napier has his coach, much the way AR’s talent was wasted. It’s not like these players are plug and play. They need to be coached up.

 

I posted in the OGT his end of 1st quarter interview was the most encouraging thing I've heard him say to date. I've been begging for it and applaud it without hesitation.

 

Maybe it's revisionist history, maybe it's decade+ of misery with intermittent joy, but man do I miss Urban. He was an animal, but he was our animal. I never thought I would say these things after the way he left, but post Swamp Kings and years of the lesser M's, I would take him back in a heartbeat. Whether that is wise or not I have no idea, but emotions often cloud better judgement.

 

Sounds more like you want to remove impediments for poor hiring decisions. If you found a genie in a bottle and they granted you the wish of never having to pay a buyout. You would get stuck in a 2-3 year cycle of hire/fire making us the Auburn of the former East division (without the booster meddling).

at this point, i'm so tired of hearing about the "process", "trust the process", and "believe in the process". at what point in time will someone say,"Billy, you've got x amount of time for this process of yours to yield some positive results or else you're gone?"

 

Maybe he and Sticklin had an under-the-table deal that they would split their buyouts evenly when they get fired
