Wow, talk about "sorry ass takes". Your clueless post wins the day.

Im guessing Ive been a Gator fan far longer than you and have experienced far more ups and downs in the program. I never said Napier has failed or wont win championships. The reality is we dont know and comparisons to Saban/Smart are nonsense. You could just as easily compare to Taggart and the like.
Ive no problem admitting when Im wrong as I was ultimately with Mullen, so you can take your BS elsewhere.

Guessing i missed our AA WR, out standing FR TE, and top 10 statistical QB transfer as well as competent DBs and LBs.
A 50ish comp % QB marginal WRs &TEs and the back 7 on defense leave a lot of ground to make up

We lack game changers on offense outside of our RBs and they can be shut down

We hopefully make up the ground with future signed classes.

You are equating performance to talent. Performance also includes coaching and scheme

We are better than LSU at QB and RB. I don’t know their OL but ours is very good anchored by a 1st rounder.

Our DB has multiple NFL players (as does theirs). Absolutely wild you think we don’t have talent there. We have many 4+ stars. It is arguably our most talented group.

We are thin at LB (outside of one NFL guy) and S. We have a very talented DL group

The argument that performance = talent just isn’t true

Your post made me think of this from Twitter.

The teacher's former student is now the teacher at Florida.

Napier is boring and in all likelihood will cave in 3 years. I find it ironic how someone like Spurrier built the standards for this program and now everyone gets excited for the very opposite of someone like Spurrier.

As you noted Talent/potential dont stack up performance and maturity. School A may look like similar to school B in composite rankings but it always comes down to individual matchups and we arent currently on the same level as LSU.

The other place composite ranks fall short is if a school is talent heavy (numbers) in say DBs (like us) their composite rank my be comparable but their impact in the game is less bc yiu can only play so many a at given tome and they are all on D.

We are thin at DL and dont have a complement DT to GD, 21 eats space but he isnt ready for primetime yet.

As for your assertion we have the edge at QB, it isnt backed up by NCAA stat leaders through week 12. Why do you always weave AR into every thread?

    Our perfect coach:

Can build a stout Defense like Muschamp
Can recruit ‘round the clock like Napier
    Can coach like Mullen
Can go offshore fishing and drink beer like Mac

Billy's a team builder. Now only if he could coach, we'd be set!

I agree with you about the recruiting. What is really starting to concern me is the coaching and game management. There seems to be a lot of bone headed play calling and poor clock management for someone that’s supposed to be a football savant. Also let’s look down south a little. LSU is supposed to be rebuilding too aren’t they? Somehow they are doing quite well. We poked fun all summer and now they are the ones laughing. They are going to he a major force for years to come. Heck they might even make the playoffs in year one.
