Really? I thought it was a cliche-fest. I'm not suggesting that he doesn't really feel the way he said he did, but if he wanted to take the focus off the team's glaring failures in that game, then I agree he did a good job.

It’s not awesome walking into a shitshow that the guy before you left and having to sit there feeling the weight of taking the blame for shortcomings that MAY not be in your control.

By game TWELVE that argument wears a tad thin.

Not like he didnt choose the job either.

Just own it and tell everyone you are going to do everything necessary to get better.

He’s pretty much been saying that. But there isn’t a magic switch under the stadium that you can flip to just make all the problems go away.

So there are problems ? That’s basically what we are saying. And that they have not been satisfactorily addressed.

First year, talent with limited depth, and what IMO was the worst possible record at 6-6.

He is recruiting lights-out and in the process of a significant rebuild to get where we want to be (SEC/playoff contenders). High salary or not - we should all know this wasn’t a quick fix.

Why anyone thinks that a coach is going to be transparent and have tons of answers 10 minutes after a loss is baffling to me.

    Agree, Agree, Agree.

But I treat Head Coaches like President's-
Year 1 - Cleaning up the other guys mess.
Year 2 - improvement required on offense, defence and special teams, especially the
    W-L record, MATTERS.
Year 3 - challenging for the SEC E and Conference Playoff.
Year 4 - winning the SEC / playoffs
Year 5 Run for reelection - Winning the SEC and the Playoffs, size up the rings baby!

I'll give him a couple or 3 years to get this recruiting done. Look what it did for the pups.

Billy is recruiting well. But he’s recruiting lights-out. He needs to close with a flourish earn that descriptor.
