I don't think Billy is capable of reading a room. I am just getting a kick out of his stating the same thing the 'whiny bitches' say when they are doing their whining and bitching. When Billy is long gone they will still be here whining and bitching. It is just hilarious that they are jumping on him now for saying exactly what they say. They are allowed to say it but Billy isn't. I just find that very funny.

 

Are there basements in Florida as a whole? Yes.
His statement was “rural Central Florida” which my family has been in for 5 generations and I know of one basement that was built custom by a Dr who was from up North.

So, no they are not common in “rural Central Florida”

 

Here we go lol. Would you think they were present on barrier Island? Because most people I know who don't have access to people's homes on a regular basis have no idea we have them. Are they as common as most other states? Of course not but they aren't as rare either and I can't imagine inland central florida would have less than the central florida coast.

 

I would’ve said trailers in Central Florida, not basements. Know your audience, coach!

My uncle had a basement in North Florida that he turned into a bomb shelter during the Cuban Missile Crisis. We need some bomb shelters now during the 2024 Gator football schedule.

 

He gets paid $6M+ to field a gator team. Two losing seasons and a shit the bed opener and he says “we don’t care what fans say” - fine, tone deaf, but ok. But mocking rural fans in a basement? Stupid. Either handle the criticism as part of his highly paid job, or win and silence the critics- your paying customers.

 

You sure these basement dwellers are paying the bills? Not sure they are contributing to Florida Victorious or showing up to games.

To be fair, look at what they practice with. It's not like the offense is playing against Georgia's defense nor is our defense playing against a good offense. Put those together and the team may look pretty good. Now had we scrimmaged with Miami in the spring and we saw a 41-17 kind of outcome, expectations would have been tempered.
