Am I the only one that feels if you can’t make a decision one way or the other, our coaches should say “now or never, make up your mind so we can move on”. Nothing negative towards him, but kids that drag out the process might not be a good fit, and will probably make you recruit them over and over each year.

It's been quite a recruiting run by the Gators the last 3 - 4 weeks. Arguably the hottest recruiting team in the country leading up to ESD. Would be nice to tag one more today just to keep up the momentum. I would say if it's anyone today, Rick nailed it, probably Hayward, which would really be another nice get.

I am unsure if UF tags any of the bigger names tomorrow. Looks like tonight or Wednesday for the final 5 star guys to fall into place.
It would be a real capper for UF to land one but thats going to take a considerable bag IMO.

It looks like UF will fall into the final 10 - 12 range, depending on the recruiting service, which, is really just remarkable given the numbers a month ago. Some podcasters are projecting multiple 5 stars tomorrow to UF, I think that is a bit of a reach personally.
I'm hoping for one, and even if tomorrow is a whiff, what a glorious recruiting comeback it has been. From nowhere to the top 10.

    Edit: Hayward is announcing tomorrow.

    Go Gators!

Yeah, I know our staff never gives up on anyone but the "after ESD" kids seem kinda off kilter about their decision although honestly, I haven't really tracked it that closely either.

Not only are the boys not wearing knee pads, they evidently have no cod protection.

And don't underestimate the effect that Lagway has on the situation. If he can lure some top WR talent that would be great. Could also help with some Portal WR. That FR Williams from Bama would be a great get (if you don't mind tampering, which I don't, it's probably been done to us anyways).

Williams is a freakish talent, but he's shown some concerns with drops the second half of the year. Drops are a killer... All that said, I'd love to have him.

Last year we put all our cards on the table, early enough for other schools to pluck players away from us. This year, I think we're keeping our cards tightly to the vest, and we may even have some silent recruits in the fold... Players that do not want to divulge their intentions so that they don't have to deal with late horsetrading and bargaining by other schools.

Is Williams by chance the kid making acrobatic catches against georgia this season? I watched and couldn't believe how good Bama's receivers looked that game. Made georgia's DBs look quite pedestrian.

Yep, that's him. Lit UGA up. He's blazing fast and can cut on a dime. Lately the issue is you can't be confidant he's going to catch it.

You're invoking Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, and Jamarr Chase level of hype saying things like that

Username mentioned Jeremiah Smith recently too. That kid lived up to the hype for sure, kid can just straight out ball.
I would take him over any other name out their right now, no questions asked.

I think the fan base has gotten so drunk on recruiting success the last three weeks, that they may be in for a bit of a let down tomorrow. Yes there are still 6 - 8 guys on the board and being flirted with, but guess what, those same names are on every board ranked between #1 - #30 in the country and then some.

Do I want em all, damn right I do, but I am trying to temper enthusiasm with reality. I guess I sound like a broken record but I will be damn happy just to get one more. The Heyward kid and the corner from TN look to me to be UF's best shots at adding a name.

If we get nobody I'm still totally fine. Twasn't long ago UF was 4 -5, it was 49-0 at Texas in the third quarter, lagway was hurt, and the only contact between UF and recruits was via carrier pidgeon.

You listen to the pundits today and they all say they have never seen a rebound like UF has accomplished, in such a short time, so close to NSD/ESD.

I'm over the moon. CBN has turned the narrative 180 degrees and Gator Nation is getting back on board the Napier train.
Yes there is hard work to do in the Transfer Portal. We all wish for the same, for Billy and the staff to do quality research and aquire the best players available, at the needed positions.

There is also the economic equation of laying down a huge ESD bag for the new shiny, (unproven) H.S. toy or pulling back and getting a couple of portal kids, with experience and accomplishment, for the same price.

It's a busy time for the staff and I wish them nothing but success on ESD but guess what, UF has already HAD great success going into ESD tomorrow. I will not forget that at the end of the day Wednesday, irregardless of outcome.

It depends on what "their" expectations are... I expect that some of the good news will be in the Tranfer Portal and I still think we make the top 10 on natioal signing day tomorrow.

I would "expect" to sign 3 or 4 more guys tomorrow some that we might not even expect. And I also suspect that we might miss out on one or more of the players we felt were going to flip to the good guys.

That's just how it works. Some guys might even be plucked from our recruiting class... you never know. And the weird part is that we might even know it, but have an eye on someone else instead.

We never know, but if these coaches are smart, they would write all these things down so that one day they can write a BOOK on the inner workings and craziness that happens in college football recruiting. I know I would read it.

    Go Gators!
