As @duchen pointed out, there were more deaths from the ancestral strain. However, over 225,000 Americans died in the Delta wave. Omicron, which because of fitness advantages, has been around longer, is approaching nearl 200,000 US deaths.

This is where more study is really needed. Was the ancestral strain more deadly, or were we just less prepared. Is Omicron really less dangerous or are so many more vaccinated or already had an earlier form. To some extent we are comparing apples to oranges since the totally naive population was the world prior to the ancestral (aka Wuhan) strain hit.

How many of those people that died had other health issues? Just asking... not trying to diminish severity nor the seriousness of the virus. But there are reports that have stated that the majority of people that die from Covid-19 have other health issues like respiratory issues... autoimmune issues... I just want to know which health issues are the critical issues that we/I have to consider when going out in public. And if I get Covid, with other health issues, what is the best course action.

These other health issues are better documented in Great Britain than they are here in the U.S., IMHO.

Most people who die from COVID have 1 or more co-morbidity. But, why is that relevant? Over 60% of the US population has 1 or more co-morbidity. This constant arguing over whether COVID killed somone or (for example) kidney failure killed them because they had diminished kidney capacity and COVID just shoved them over the edge is pointless in my opinion. The person is still dead, and would not be dead today had they not contracted COVID.

You are 100% correct about the UK. But, you cannot have it both ways. They have a 100% Nationalized Health Care system with centralized databases. The very same people quibbling over the use of COVID data in the US and the lack of sufficient supporting detail (in their opionions) are the same people who would fight a Nationalized Healthcare system left, right and center. I am not saying that they are wrong, but they cannot have it both ways.

However, the points that you bring up are worthy of further discussion. We simply cannot get enough people together who are willing to rationally discuss, make their points, maybe even learn some of their points are wrong or misunderstood and then correct course (so to speak) of public health policy together, and not at each other's throats.

Took Zinc. Vitamin C, Eldeberry and D3 when I had it. Nothing like immune support with an immures system trained by vaccines to recognize the protein.

Vaccinated old guy Biden seems to be doing very well. Anyone remember what happened to the last unvaccinated President who got Covid?

Hint: Helicopter airlift to the hospital, 3 days of observation, oxygen and experimental drugs…. Ring any bells?

Such an ignorant post. There were no “vaccines” available. We were still at the very beginning in development of therapeutics and treatment. The original and delta were far more dangerous than the current variants in how they attacked.

    Sigh…

When Garden of Life first started, i used t buy a super green powder, i think it was called perfect food. i would make a
shake with it everyday and drink it for lunch. we also took the vitamins but you had to take many of them because they were whole food so each vitamin had a lower dosage than your store bought chemical vitamins

i take on a daily basis olive leaf extract (Navaris) for blood pressure and immune support When i had covid i doubled up on olive leaf extract, it has very strong anti viral properties. If anyone is interested , go to the NIH website and do a search on it and you will see that it is a very good supplement. i also took d3 zinc and C.

Well there was that doxychloride vaccine thing wasn’t there??
Oh just for clarification don’t underrate the current variant. I picked it up 3 weeks ago and it kicked my ass. No danger of a hospital visit but enough to tell you it is bad ass
