1 of two things need you happen to save the democrats this election
    1. Biden somwhow some way proves he is lucid, in charge, energetic etc…
I just don’t see how that can happen. No matter what he is simply old and another 4 years won’t be kind to him.
    2. A superstar candidate steps up. Someone dynamic, strong, decisive. Someone easy to follow. It will take a JFK, an Obama type personality. Do the dems have one in the bullpen? I don’t know.

Biden’s actual full quote is “I’m not stepping down but I’m not ruling out falling down.”

Why would Biden step down when he clearly won the debate for the simple reason that he couldn’t talk?

While Biden is refusing to withdraw, his campaign is commissioning a poll, I imagine with Biden's approval but there can be no assurance Biden knows about this as he is off to his next publicly embarrassing debacle introducing Zelensky as Putin, to see how Harris fares vs. Trump:

Uh Oh: Team Biden Is Conducting a Survey to See How Kamala Harris Fares Against Donald Trump – RedState

According to The New York Times:

The survey, which is being conducted this week and was commissioned by the Biden campaign’s analytics team, is believed to be the first time since the debate that Mr. Biden’s aides have sought to measure how the vice president would fare at the top of the ticket. It was described by three people who are informed about it and insisted on anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information.

They did not specify why the survey was being conducted or what the campaign planned to do with the results. It could be read as the team gathering information to present a case to the president that his path forward is slim, or to argue that Mr. Biden is still the strongest standard-bearer for his party.

The action that should be undertaken is taking Biden out of office using the 25th Amendment:

    U.S. Constitution - Twenty-Fifth Amendment | Resources | Constitution Annotated | Congress.gov | Library of Congress

    Twenty-Fifth Amendment

    Section 1
In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

    Section 2
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

    Section 3
Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.

    Section 4
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

CNN out of all the lamestream media has confidential inside the White House sources which has given the skinny on what has been going on in conducting the business of the nation and it isn't good:

CNN Has a Damning Report About What Went on During Biden's Cabinet Meetings (townhall.com)

Back in Washington, there have been clear signs throughout his term of Biden being increasingly stage-managed, with lists of talking points, names of questioners and drawings of where he should walk presented to him by aides. Ahead of closed-door Cabinet meetings that Biden attends, it is customary for Cabinet officials to submit questions and key talking points that they plan to present in front of Biden ahead of time to White House aides, two sources with direct knowledge told CNN.

“The entire display is kind of an act,” one of those sources told CNN. “They would come and say, ‘Hey, the president is going to call on you about 25 minutes in, and ask this question. What are the bullet points you’ll respond with?’”

The second source, who echoed that same description, said when Biden attends Cabinet meetings, they are “not free-wheeling, and pretty well-orchestrated.” And the meetings themselves are infrequent, with one Cabinet secretary telling CNN they are uncertain of Biden’s condition because they so rarely see him.

In fact, the last full Cabinet meeting took place on October 2, 2023. Sources also said Cabinet meetings during the Obama years, which Biden attended as vice president, were not pre-scripted this way.

Nate Silver of 538 describes it as what you see in authoritarian countries:

Nate Silver, who has been vocal in his calls for Biden to step down, said this development isn’t normal, akin to what you’d usually see in an authoritarian country.

As I have been saying for the better part of the last 2 years, Biden is behaving like a dictator.

It also explains the antisemitic turn in our government towards Israel and allowing antisemitism to run rampant across the US. Biden's closest antisemitic, socialist, and communist advisers are calling the shots with Biden saying okay to whatever is decided. Biden no longer uses his cabinet.

Sadly, the only person who can take over for Biden to finish out his term is Kamala Harris. She won't hold up to the scrutiny of what did she know about Biden and when did she know it. Harris isn't going to participate in using the 25th Amendment unless pushed into it by Obama.

You folks who think the representative democracy has to be protected from Trump have been played for suckers. Your democratic party and elected leaders are the threat to the US Republic. Even now, those whom you so strongly support aren't concerned about the American people or what is going on in the globe that you so love. They are only concerned now because Biden can't win the election and then be taken out by the 25th Amendment or death later. Their only concern, as described by Nate Silver of 538, is maintaining their authoritarian power.

To follow up on my post #26:

RNC Research on X: "PSAKI: The entire Biden White House is in complete and total disarray — and literally nobody knows what to expect moving forward. "The question is: what is the plan moving forward? 99% of them don't know the answer to that question." https://t.co/ahUjJTTwLu" / X (twitter.com)

Not to fear snowflakes, it's an interview conducted on NBC News with Jen Psaki so it won't hurt your eyes and ears to see and hear the truth from someone with real inside knowledge on the workings inside the White House.

This interview further highlights the importance that Biden is a threat to the nation in governance and that running for reelection has to become secondary to doing what is right for the American people. It's past time Joe Biden should be removed from office using the 25th Amendment.

If you saw that replay you would have noticed that Biden corrected himself almost immediately after inadvertently introducing Zelensky as Putin. The damage was minimal although I guess we will be seeing Trump ads as well as videos on Fox [not] News and other right-wing media outlets focusing on the gaffe with the correction edited out.

All they need is an empty suit who can act. The media will take care of the rest.

No, both were horrible, but Kamala Harris deserves a major apology which he never gave because he didn't know what he said until he was told later on. At least with Zelensky he corrected himself in front of everyone.

Speaking of an empty suit who can act, the Republican Party will complete the process of nominating one next week.

Ultimately, isn't this what the vast majority of the populace wants? It's one of the reasons Reagan was and continues to be so popular. GW's best moments were probably throwing a changeup down the pipe and giving a strong speech after 9/11. Sure, some substance would be nice too. The prez has an endless supply of intellectual resources at his disposal. The effective leader will make good use of those resources (this, btw, is one of the many ways in which Trumph failed and will again if elected). With the resources in place, I'd at least like to see a prez with eloquence. I mean, not being globally embarrassed (both nominees are global embarrassments) would at least be a good start, agree?
