You can thank Trump "judges" for that. They're the ones who are blocking Biden from changing Trump's backwards ass border policies.

Maybe more $ is the answer. Is it enough? Modifying policy? Both? Provide support to Central americsn countries where crime and poverty is getting worse? openly discuss the issue and work with congress for a solution? Our border is experiencing more crossings than ever recorded.

why does our country get chastised for having a border and monitoring and controlling inflow at the border.

    Gallop….

If you want to understand why the border encounter numbers are so high, you should take a look at these handy charts:
Let me explain what this means. We have the first chart showing an explosion in border encounters near the end of the Trump presidency after instituting Title 42. We have the second chart showing that around 60% of CBP arrests are people who have already entered illegally. And the third chart shows that CBP estimates it apprehended about 82.6% of people who tried to illegally enter in 2021.

What should we take away from that? One, our border is not remotely open. CBP actually exceeded its goal on interdiction effectiveness in the first year under Biden. Second, Title 42 is driving up the number of border encounters. And third, people are continuing to try and enter again after we expel them using Title 42, leading to increased recidivism. Why? Because under Title 42, they're being denied the opportunity to go through the asylum system.

Basically, the numbers are artificially inflated because of Title 42. If we ended Title 42, the numbers would drop fairly substantially. Now, would the numbers fall off a cliff? No. Migration is largely driven by EXTERNAL factors. The things driving migration right now are instability and economic issues in Central and South America (particularly, Venezuela and the Northern Triangle in Central America).

Now, you might ask why Biden hasn't sought to end Title 42. Guess what? He did.
Biden administration announces official end to Title 42, the Trump-era pandemic restrictions at the US border | CNN Politics

You'll never guess what happened next? A Trump "judge" refused to let Biden end the policy Trump created, despite the fact that Biden sought to use the same procedure to end it that Trump used to create it.
Judge blocks Biden administration from lifting public health order used to quickly expel migrants

And here's the funny part, Title 42 is supposedly a COVID-mitigation policy. So keep in mind that all these Trump "judges" have been striking down Biden's COVID policies left and right, but the one COVID policy Biden tried to end on his own, they told him he MUST keep enforcing. It's calvinball. Partisan hacks in robes making political decisions.

So Trump "judges" are requiring Biden to continue to enforce a Trump policy that is inflating the border encounter and apprehension data in a major way.

But hey, at least Biden can choose how to best apply the resources he has at his disposal to enforce our immigration laws in the most efficient and effective manner, right? Wrong. Trump "judges" have also ruled that Biden doesn't have the power to set immigration enforcement priorities.
Court strikes down Biden immigration enforcement priorities

That's right. The people in charge of federal law enforcement are not allowed to tell the officers serving under them where to focus law enforcement efforts and resources. Why? Because some hack appointed by Trump said so.

I could go on and on all day about how ridiculous things are. But the truth of the matter is that presidents don't have much control over migration, and Biden has even less control over migration and the border than your average president because the clowns Trump put on the federal bench have seized control of large swaths of federal immigration policy from the Executive Branch we elected.

Here's a small list of things that people did not give a whit about in the midterms:

    1. Boys playing against girls in sports
    2. Scary migrant caravans
    3. Non-existent crime waves
    4. The ever falling price of gas
    5. Hunter Biden's laptop
    6. Biden's age

Here's the list they did care about:

    1. 1/6
    2. How gross the 45th president is
    3. The Big Lie
    4. Oncoming fascism
    5. Half the country being designated as having partial Constitutional rights
    6. How many wackos were running for office

Why do you think the Judges are trying to keep Title 42 in place?

The irony is that the more they ridicule incompetent, inept, cognitively challenged Joe, the more they implicitly point out the extent to which their leader with the Orange Complexion is diminished and incompetent. Not only did inept Joe beat him by almost 8 million votes in the last election, almost every candidate endorsed by and in some cases personally selected by the Dear Leader to represent the Republican Party was defeated in competitive elections in swing states losing to Democratic candidates supported by inept Joe and this is considering that the party that lost the presidency usually does very well in the midterms following the presidential election, Old Joe is underwater by around 10 percent in almost every poll of presidential approval and the country has been experiencing its highest inflation rate in 40 years.

The only “crises at the border” is o right wing fantasy land. At the border, the Texas districts went blue. But the border crises fantasy does arouse the bigots by given them a way to express their true feelings without actually saying them. Maybe in time we will have enough asylum seekers cross to make up for the Trump “Keep them in Mexico”
policy that has contributed to our employment problems.

A good part of our unemployment problem is that libbies have brainwashed people into thinking they deserve more in pay than they are really worth, thus they sit home and don't work.

If that was the case, then the unemployment rate would be higher, as somebody who is looking for a job but just doesn't like the pay would count as unemployed. So there is no evidence to back this.

Unemployment sits at 3.7%. Non-farm job creation has been over 200,000 a month for the past few months. Where are these entitled Americans who are living off government cheese because they don't want to take a pay cut to work? Here's a hint. They don't exist.

Because they're Republicans and as anti-immigrant as Trump and the rest of the party. Title 42 blocks a large percentage of people from coming into the country and asking for asylum.

Because unemployed people sitting at home aren't considered unemployed when calculating the unemployment rate?

It's awesome how you completely ignore logic to parrot partisan talking points. It's also very entertaining, frankly.
