Why does he keep saying his son died in the Iraq war? He has done that twice in the last week. That is not a gaffe. He must know his son died of cancer in a hospital in Maryland.

 

Biden has always blamed the Iraqi burn pits as the cause of Beau’s brain cancer, so that’s what he means, but what he says is an inaccurate collapse of about 3 different steps of process. I wish someone would correct him.

 

Agree. Biden was almost certainly correct regarding the association with the burn pits and Beau's cancer and his tendency towards verbal gaffes also detracted from the seriousness of the real issue.

Hate to say it but Biden should try to avoid speaking extemporaneously and stick to using a teleprompter whenever possible.

I have no idea what Biden had in mind when he made that statement although synthetic insulin was invented in 1978 so maybe he did speak to someone responsible for its development. Prior to 1978 all insulin was extracted from animal sources (cattle and pigs).
