Simple thought exercise.

There is a commercial of people illegally entering the country. It uses the common ethnicity of those illegally breaking our laws.

Now a little empathy exercise. You are an ethnicity that is common to those who are breaking our laws. You did everything right. You have family members doing everything right to try and become American citizens or get work visas. Now tell me they should be offended by a commercial that is just portraying a real issue.

I get you are so focused on being offended you can’t see straight. But spare me the “brown is bad”. It shows you are the race baiter you are.

 

Inflation and the economy are a mess because of the dems. Covid is more of an issue for education and shots for kids that don’t need them. But it is absolutely part of the economy and inflation based on policy decisions made.

Keep thinking this is just a midterm shift lol. It is going to be brutal for the dems. They earned more than the normal!

And that real issue? People have be been coming across our Southern border for generations. It's nothing new. And nothing we've done has ever stopped the flow, or even slow it down.

Now, if you're Hispanic, and see people who look like you portrayed as invaders, murderers, rapists, and will turn the US into a third world country, please explain how that's not racist.

Maybe he is worried. Probably so. It's par for the course that the midterms go for the party not in power. It's cyclical - everyone knows that. But again, his speech that you're referring to wasn't hostile towards pubs, it was hostile to maga. There is a difference and he made the distinction... clearly. I also made it, clearly in my last post. But you're lumping everyone right of center in the same boat - painting with a broad brush and saying he's hostile to all pubs. Again, he did not do that. In fact he went out of his way to make the distinction - but you're won't acknowledge this important point.

Sorry you don't want to hear him talking about a real threat. Maga election deniers are a very real threat to democracy (see my example in the earlier thread re: Wisconsin - and it's far from the only instance).

Would you agree that those who rise to power, then refuse to adhere to the will of the people by not accepting results of the election, or worse... fixing them, are a threat to democracy? Can we start there and agree? After all, free and fair elections is what makes America, America, no?
