covid has a great deal to do with the election. people remember who forced masks, vaccines on them, who forced school closures, whose policies resulted in thousands of businesses going under, those someones are democrats.

 

What? You think Biden is suppressing their (election deniers) free speech because he talked about them? Do you know what the word 'suppress' means?

 

You didn't need Biden to blame for division. It was there under Trump. We were divided under Obama. We were divided under Bush (except for a year or so after 9/11). We were divided under Clinton. My sense is that there may have been some more unity under Reagan, but I was a kid and didn't read anything other than my parents' conservative bent. "We" were definitely divided going back to Nixon and Kennedy, etc. People who are older than I can speak to the days prior.
If Biden is dividing us, it's a symptom of politics and not only contemporary politics, but that of the past several decades.

I actually agree with you a bit here, Bluke. It's understandable that some are disappointed in the Prez's leadership. Like nearly all other politicians, he's ginning up the peeps for votes and may have reduced himself (to an extent) to the divisive rhetoric of the recent past prez. I just wish you would refrain from portraying all of your angst against "libbies" and better voice your concerns based upon specific policies. It's all too easy to get pissed about a speech. What is the substance of your concern?
