I figured that we would discuss the month that came up in this report. Would you prefer to discuss September, which finished adjustments last month?

Upon Biden's arrival, 22 million people left the workforce in March and April of 2020. Certainly not his fault. Biden claims he created jobs in the first two years after the pandemic. He did not. People needed to get back to work, and many of those people found employment in states like Texas and FL, which reopened well before other states. So, those governors get the credit that opened up their states. A bulk of the jobs "created" by Biden were government jobs in 2021 by locked out government employees who took their jobs back to a tune of 10 million. The Biden administration claimed they created 10 million jobs, taking back these people. So dishonest and delusional.

Total employment today is only 4 plus million more than in early 2020. In 2023, they overcounted by 360,000 jobs. Again, that is a very dishonest PR move to look good month by month, only to look like a fraud when numbers are revised. The hope is that no one pays attention. So, let us not get excited about an embarrassing number of 12,000 audited to 36,000 in October when they were anticipating 100,000.

There is also the issue of part-time jobs being counted in these numbers and illegals being included in the overall numbers. We know 10 million illegals plus have entered the country. And I'm not going to even go into the energy jobs Biden killed on day 1.

I’m curious. Did Biden really claim he created those jobs?

Wait a minute, Biden "arrived" in March and April of 2020? Did you seriously memory hole who the President was in March and April of 2020?

Can you show me where this 10 million change in government employment happened? Best I can tell, February 2020 government employment (which was the pre-pandemic peak) was 22,867,000. This includes all levels of government (most government workers do not work for the federal government). The lowest point was in May 2020. Government employment that month was 21,395,000. By January 2021 (when Biden actually took office), government employment was 21,788,000. So, I am trying to figure out how you got from just over 1 million government employees who lost their jobs in the pandemic to 10 million.

    All Employees, Government

That is false. Total employment in February 2020 was 152,309,000. Total employment today is 159,536,000. That means that total employment has increased by 7,227,000, not 4 million as you claimed.

    All Employees, Total Nonfarm

No clue where you are getting this figure.

But 36,000 is higher than 12,000 right? So it means that they adjust numbers up too?

Total number of people who are employed but usually work part-time:
    Feb. 2020: 27,731,000
    Dec. 2024: 27,918,000

Looking at the earlier numbers, that means that in Feb. 2020, 18.21% of workers usually worked part-time. In Dec. 2024, 17.50% of workers usually work part-time.

    Employed, Usually Work Part Time

We do, huh? Seems like we would really be in trouble then without them...given that we have unemployment rates at around 4% still...

Interesting. Those would count against the total jobs, right?

It truly amazes me how uninformed some are on jobs reports while simultaneously firmly believing they know more than everyone else. Stunning.

I wish I had more professors like that. Seemed like most of mine just bundled a collection of class materials and made us students buy them from Target Copy so the professors would get a cut.

"100,000 too many jobs" seems like a punchline statement. But yeah, seasonal jobs...

Yep, and if history hold true it will be adjusted downward.
