No, I actually read the article on Biden's proposal rather than just the headline.

Wow, you prevaricate on this thread and on another you openly advocate for criminals to run loose in our country.
This is not a good day for you.

OMG, we're allowing millions of people who committed a misdemeanor running around in our country! Overstaying a visa or entering illegally is only a misdemeanor, on par with J-walking. And if/when you remove this minor crime, undocumented immigrants are far less likely to commit serious crime than citizens. If only there was a way to screen those entering to lesson the risk of serious crime, and also remove the misdemeanor crime from the immigrants' records? Oh, there is! It's called an expanded guest worker program that was touted by the Gang of 8!

We’ll go ahead and add you to the list of not caring who comes into our country. You should know by now we can’t trust our own govt to do anything well.
We do need reforms, but the govt won’t enforce anything.
Therefore, we need a physical barrier.

We started putting a physical barrier up in the 1980s, and wall construction started in 1993. How's that been working out the last 30 years? Why would doing the same things over an over again produce different results this time? Or, is spending billions more on ineffective walls be a true definition of insanity?

A little history. Reagan started with fences in official border crossing areas. They failed. Bush I started with walls in the same area believing that nobody would try and cross through dangerous, uninhabited areas. The walls helped control official crossing areas, but the migrants moved to cross through the uninhabited areas. A failure that cost us billions, because now we needed more more and BP Agents to patrol the entire border. And BP agent rolls ballooned from around 3,000 in 1980 to currently over 20,000.

Trump decided a 2,000 mile wall might work. Another failure. The wall is already disrepair, and easily either cut or climbed over. It's stopped nobody. More of the same will just result in billions more of good money after failed bad money.

The only logical solution is not to try and stop the immigrants from coming. We can't. Better to control the flow. Allow those who want to see amnesty to enter legally after a background check and make them get a job and then pay for the priviledge of being here with a guest worker visa. We would have a much better idea of whom is already here, and who is coming, and we could deport those with a serious criminal record and not allow those with one entry. In short, we'd be safer.

Or, we can try the same failed over and over again solutions that cost billions and claim those who actually want to improve the issue are people who don't care?!?

And how effective has the 30 years of wall building been to date? How many killers have they stopped?

    You’re not keeping up again.
I said if one out of hundred migrants is a criminal, I say it’s not worth the risk.
You want to risk my life with allowing everyone in because you hope they are all good people.
But we cannot know if they are all good.
In fact we do know this. Central America is rife with murderers. It’s not hard to guess how many are coming to America to flee their past and to take advantage out our dumbasses and our loose laws.

You don’t care. You’re a bleeding heart and care only about the migrants. We all know that by now.
You probably go down to the wall and break it loose to let them in.
    Wouldn’t surprise me a bit.

So, push comes to shove, you are against immigration as a whole because "we cannot know if they are all good?" Right?

Where did you get that from?
I love immigrants. I really love the ones who come in legally with real deal background checks.
You libbies rang the dinner bell at the border and there’s more than we can handle now. It’s a goddamn mess.
And it’s a serious national security threat.

This strikes me as the entirely wrong flex to use for your political argument. He, along with his admin, changed their stance after seemingly being provided evidence that construction of some wall would be beneficial.

Instead of flexing on him for being a liar, why not "Even Biden sees the advantages to walling off part of our border, you dumb libbies!"

Lastly, is it really being a liar when a leader changes their position based on information? If your friend changed their opinion or position on music or food, deciding that they like something after initially hating it, would you call them a liar? FTR, I also think it's stupid how H.W. Bush was crucified over the "No New Taxes" position. Obama wasn't being a liar for calling ISIS the "JV squad" and then later ramping up military measures to address the group, he was just an idiot that got educated by failure.

What's the logic if you are a murderer living in C. America to risk life and limb to come to the US where the chances of getting caught is significantly higher than if they stayed in C. America? Yep, this makes perfect sense. Stay at home and murder with little chance of getting caught. Or walk thousands of miles with a chance of not making, chance of being caught by BP, so I can murder in America, and have a significantly higher chance of being caught! o_O

Yes, millions of undocumented immigrants, and there are going to be a few bad apples. But again, take away their crime of overstaying a visa or crossing illegally, and by far, they commit far less felony crime than citizens. Would you risk life and limb walking hundreds, if not thousands of miles only to risk deportation by committing a crime where if you get caught, you'd first have jail time, followed by a 1-way ticket home? No. Neither do the overwhelming majority of undocumented immigrants who come here.

Want to be actually safer? Let's know who is already here, and who is entering. To do that, we need an expanded guest worker system that allows those who sign up and pay a visa to be subject to a background check. Those with a felony record shouldn't be allowed in. Someone with a serious record is more likely to commit another felony. We'd also tell the immigrants that a felony conviction would result in an instant deportation order after local punishment is complete.

We'd actually be safer. And not only would it not cost us billions in a wall that accomplishes nothing, it would pay for itself with guest worker visa fees. It's not only better for the immigrants; it's better for us as citizens.

Or, we can do what we have been doing that accomplishes nothing and flush more money down the toilet, and call people who actually want to accomplish something bleeding hearts! Because this is totally logical...in no world whatsoever.
