    No, you’re right they wouldn’t be indifferent. It would/will absolutely affect revenue and shareholder outlook in the oil industry (probably one reason you see some of the larger companies diversifying) but that is not the same as trying to “kill” the oil industry. My point wasn’t that there would be no collateral damage but that the goal of the regulations is to move energy sources away from fossil fuels and there would still be 30%-40% of the current market (new uses will likely come) left for the oil industry to operate.

    Not sure. Thought it was SUVs but you mentioning Hummers rings a bell.
