How many poor kids could $500 million put through college? People like Bezos are the pits of humanity.

Once, Captain F'ing Kirk actually made it to space in real life. The experience was so overpowering he was left practically speechless and in tears. As he was formulating his thoughts and just starting to make a profound point about the vast, indifferent, coldness of space - and the fragility of our little blue marble in all that darkness, cowboy Jeff strolls up yee hawing with champagne to celebrate *his* accomplishment.

From the little bit I know, I like his ex. Apple + tried to do a humorous version of her archetype with Loot, but it was unwatchable despite a cast

Not as many as you'd think. Average cost for a 4 year degree is 100k. So 500,000,000/100,000 = 5000

Well he also spent $42M on a manual clock inside a mountain he also owns.

Somehow that is a better “investment” in humanity than this weird AF bondage fantasy.

Yes, I know the math. 5000 college educations or a boat? Tough choice.

According to Foreign Policy magazine 900 million people live on less than $1.25 a day.

Show us the way brother. Denounce the luxuries of our Western lifestyle and give to the poor. How many people would our gator football tickets feed? How many school books would our Starbucks buy? If we gave up eating out, manicures and pedicures how many children could we save with better prenatal care? Why are you pointing at him? As I learned as a young lad in an unairconditioned Baptist church while fanning myself with a paper fan supplied by the local funeral home, Wilberforce's pastor John Newton turned his ship around and denounced slavery at his peril. After all your ship is the only one you can turn around.

If you want a more modern, less religious version of that I give you Pete Singer.

I dont know.. Bill Gates has done a ton for charity with his money... and still lives lavishly. That's our system though, there are a few big winners and the benefit for humanity is at their whim, or not. Anything that forces some of that money back to the community that generated that wealth for them to spend it on whatever they want is commie/woke/marxist according to GOPers.
