I thought he was a lawyer…..

 

Wherever there are no enforced boundaries… there’s going to be trouble and chaos.

And that’s what College Football has become. Society and the NCAA has failed us.

Imagine having a family or a business, a government, or a team.. where there are no rules or regulations, no boundaries, an anything goes mentality.. no discipline.. there will be mega failure and chaos.

What if airplanes didn’t have rules to follow or lanes (charted courses) to fly in.. air space is a free-for-all.
How dangerous would that be?

I believe Billy Napier is a disciplined morally-focused college football coach… and that he is good for Florida. I believe he knows what he wants and is in the process of building it. But there are lawyers, agents, fans, parents, and coaches out there always trying to bend the rules and do things their ways.
I know.. what rules, what regulations?

The NCAA and Universities and Colleges must come together and establish and enforce rules and regulations. But will they? Most likely not.

I don’t want UF to go the way of the cheaters. If cheating to get what they want was their way.. I’d drop them like a hot potato.. and I’ve loved the Gators for over 60 years.

So, at this point I will wait patiently for Billy Napier and his coaching team and staff to rebuild the Florida Gators.

Somewhere, somehow, and sometime the NCAA has to do what is right for College Football and any sport, so that teams can compete fairly. (I know I’m dreaming, but I like to do that.)

Don't know EXACTLY what this role entails. But I think Florida could use a John Ruiz equivalent right now. Hopefully one of Chase's priorities is legally reaching out to alumni and boosters letting them know exactly what we need in order to compete.

And that's money, lots of money. That's the game now, like it or not.

One of the annoying parts of all of this is it feels like half of Ruiz's priorities involve helping UM, the other half involves sabotaging UF.

This means war.

 

I’d love the schools to pay the Sakai of the players instead of the fans and boosters who already fund the entire sport.
