I see Dug Mcdaniel went to the portal. Killed us in the Michigan game. He's a solid PG and we need one next year. Also rumor may be Malik Reneau could be leaving via transfer portal if not for the Draft, hopefully he is still interested in Florida as we need a 4 spot next season. Love his game and would be a slight upgrade from Samuel i believe.
Not sure we would want a backcourt that small. He’s 5-11 and WC isn’t exactly Edey. Renau is interesting to me though.
5' 11" doesn't bother me as much as his 77% from the FT line. Would really like for the guy with the ball in his hand to be in the mid 80s or better. Also, FG% and 3s a step back from ZP.
McDaniel would be very productive in Golden's scheme. He's super unselfish and would be very effective in getting open looks for Walter and Will. He didn't have a strong supporting cast at Michigan this season. I think Golden would take him in a minute, but I'll bet he ends up at Maryland. Renau would be a fantastic pickup if he chooses to enter the portal. I'm sure he'll be following the Gators in the tournament.
We definitely need to get a point guard in the portal. Kajus Kublickas is the only true point guard on the current roster. He's supposed to be good, but has hardly played this year. Clayton is a scorer and turns the ball over too much to play the point. Aberdeen could play point, but I think he's more of a 2 guard as well. It's going to be really hard to find a guy as good as Pullin handling that position, especially his assist to tunrover ratio.
Hahahaha We won’t find one like cheese either… but I truly trust CTG to mix and match and develop what we have and what we get to produce magic. I also am positive he already knows every name that has entered, has hinted they might enter, has voiced doubts about where they are… and knows who he wants and has a plan to get them. I also feel sure most we will never have really heard of.
Anyone know if there are any international recruits we can condon for next season. Mainly at the 1 or 4 spot? I know CTG wants to continue recruiting internationally but how far does he go with that.
I remember being impressed by McDaniel when we played them this season. He was the main reason they kept it close.
