Great points, and your right, Cags thought it was a double from the second it left his bat which told me my eyes were correct. Some things worrying me, like baserunning, error on routine play, striking out 3-4 times in game, hopefully they work themselves out. Baserunning mistake alone cost us An at bat which was Shelton not coming to plate. As tying run as if runners are where they are supposed to be Heyman’s ground ball scores one run with a runner still out there and Shelton coming to the plate.

I'll go with Nick Belmonte, who has coached minor leagues all over the country and is an expert on base running. Nick told the TV audience that considering the game situation it wasn't worth the risk to try to take third on a 50/50 play where the ball got to the outfielder so quickly.

It wasn’t the outcome we wanted obviously, but the experience of being at the park was great. And I got meet @Matherly87 in person, which was also great. Very kind and generous person.

Hopefully, we can take the rubber match today.

Yeah, that’s a good point as he really knows his stuff. Maybe I’m being a little hard on Kurland. He’s an all American to me and certainly has his great things he does but lately a couple of things, emphasis on the word couple, I’ve seen with him that concerned me.

The only thing, and I’d have to see replay, but if I remember correctly ball was hit to left fielder’s right and that’s a very tough throw to third. Almost has to be perfect. Maybe 3B gave stop sign but based on conversation after inning between Kurland and 3B coach I’m pretty sure it was about his jump or at least I hope it was. I guess my point is leaving the double play in order was huge as it truly took our last chance away. With Heyman and him not being the fastest guy, I think it was worth the risk. Pretty sure that’s how our very aggressive 3B coach was thinking and why he was talking to Kurland. I’ve heard Belmonte say before the 3B coach is saying there….what did you see there? It’s a good way to say “ thought you should have been here”. Again, risk worth it there but still have a great deal of respect for what Belmonte said, as he’s an expert to me.
