Baseball vs. St. John's, Sat 2/17, 10:00 am - CANCELLED

Oh my goodness!!!!
SJU practiced on our field today when the game was supposed to be played.

This is from a Twitter feed from “In All Kinds of Weather”.

St. John's is literally practicing on our home field. After we canceled the game. DURING THE TIME THE CANCELED GAME WAS
SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED.
I can't even be mad. It's circus comedy. Florida's athletics association is writing the handbook on how NOT to run an athletic program.


SJU Twitter Feed basically saying they were ready and sprinkles don’t stop them.

 

Once softball canceled, a baseball cancellation was inevitable. Even if, from a sporting perspective, "baseball plays, softball doesn't" would have been optimal, the optics of men playing and women cancelling are... not good.

 

FYI...a few guys out throwing isn't necessarily a "practice".
FYI 2....a guy gets hurt on the wet field, or people travel to Gville when we knew the weather was going to be bad and they can't play I'm sure you exonerate the UAA?

On a more serious note, it’s actually raining in g Ville where it actually hits the ground for the first time in 16 hours so I’m sure there’s a cancellation coming any minute now. This rain is a very light rain.
