Baseball vs. St. John's, Fri 2/16, 6:30 pm

They were lose, we looked tight.
They threw strikes.
We have more talent than they do.

 

I don't think it was Ron Darling but Frank Viola and John Franco played at St John's, but that was in the 1970s.

 

We walked eight and hit one on the night—not the way you draw it up.
IMHO the two doubles down the LF and RF lines were the unraveling of Fisher. The game is a helluva lot easier pitching in pitcher’s counts as opposed to pitching in hitter’s counts.

Darling was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to a Hawaiian-Chinese mother and a French-Canadian father. After growing up in Millbury, Massachusetts, he attended St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Started college at Yale playing football, but after his freshman year he gave it up to concentrate on baseball.
