Earl Good—NEVER heard of him….

 

The Godfather is one of the greatest movies ever. The Conversation is under appreciated.

His Napa wine pales in comparison.

IIRC he appears in Koyaanisqatsi in a car so maybe add actor to the list. Probably uncredited.

 

A few words on Earl (Ty Good College & Amateur Leagues Statistics | Baseball-Reference.com) -- he's a 5th year transfer-portal guy from College of Charleston, which is apparently a public school. Another ground-bal pitcher (USC at least knows how to recruit for the bandbox that is Founders). Will give up a few walks - patience, Gators!

 

Not attending tonight's game in person. Worked on taxes all day and thought it might take longer than it did. It gets complicated when you sell a property one tax year and take on a mortgage until the buyers secure a bank mortgage for the following year and then close it out. Came within 2% of the estimated taxes owed which is great but on the wrong side which sucks.

I love the Conversation. I’m also very curious about his upcoming, and apparently crazy, sci-fi film.

<UF-faculty-stuff>My 2023 was financially spectacular... might have moved my retirement date from 2031 to 2029. (Barring a "my boss just pushed me over the limit" situation, I won't retire in 2030; that's an ABET year and retiring a few months before the visit is a real jerk move for someone like me who is 1/3 UG service). I'll find out how much I have to "pay the piper" Monday at H&R Block.</UF-faculty-stuff>
