USC's "institutional" is pretty awful -- basically saying to prospective students "don't come here if you're a real star, 'cause we'll drag you down to average". Some Harrison Bergeron crap.

Wilson looked like he had no intention of swinging the bat.

 

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit...

 

Yep. Pretty clear there's not a hidden superstar sitting in the dugout not getting to play.

 

In his defense i thought both of the last two pitches were down. Too close to take with 2 strikes, but looked like balls to me.

 

Strike 2 was definitely a yikes call but yeah there’s zero excuse to not swing the bat on the very next pitch that was in in the same spot if not closer to the zone.

 

Maybe - but down 1 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th with tying run on 2nd he needed to try to foul those off to get to a pitch he could handle.

 

I thought the second strike was the same pitch he walked on in his first at bat. The third strike, I think was up enough. I thought he should have swung at the one he walked on too. Awfully close pitch to take on two strikes.

 

Dang it!!
