Trying to remember the number of regionals and super-regionals I went to at McKeithan dry, huddled under the stands pressed against hordes of other sweaty, moist and fragrant fans searching in vain for a 2’ x2’ spot that would remain dry. Games could take 5-6 hours to complete but worth it to see the Gators advance. Welcome to the Rainesville Florida regionals.

My wife and I would ask the ticket takers if we could re-enter and they said yes. Sometimes we went home for a bit and came back.

This is my main reason for not liking the Condron Ballpark. No bars within walking distance. Right now at the Mac, I could head back to Copper Monkey or any of the other bars on University. Now you have to plan and bring the beers in the car. My planning isn’t good enough.

 

Or ones where you could walk over to a bar because it was barely raining if at all.

 

Yep. I’ve said this before- huge missed opportunity by the UF Hilton down the street to have a shuttle service to their hotel bar.

Also, weather delays should extend alcohol sales by at least a half inning.

 

I didn’t even think about buying beer in the park!! When I went to the Mac, you couldn’t get beer.

And the Hilton bar is fine and walkable.
