Just looking at the weather, I wouldn't be surprised if this gets pushed back a little bit.

    Go GATORS!

If we get to the Super Regional, I can now see Finnvold as second day starter. It's almost like facing a knuckleballer back in day. Totally throws off rhythm.

You hit the nail square on the head. Today’s hitters are so geared up for 90-94 mph FB’s, and 80+ mph sliders anything off speed just disrupts all of their timing. Same reason for the power arms to be able to control/locate the change up.

It looks like adjustment the hitters make is to slow down their swing instead of waiting a bit longer.

Is it just me or does it seem we are kings of hitting the solo homer? I know Lange leads off so is destined for some solo shots but even during his later at bats, solo shots. Since getting to Hoover it seems like most of our homers are solo. Not complaining about hitting homers. Lol. But toss in a three run bomb for me now and then.

Yep, we were taught to move up in the box (to take the effectiveness of his breaking ball away knowing he’s not beating you with FB and waiting on the mistakes).

I'm hearing we should expect Jameson, Purnell, and Nick Fic today.

Hopefully no one else’s runners on base when Purnell comes in…:(

Agreed, if Purnell pitches, hopefully he comes on in a clean inning.

Slater hasn't pitched in a couple days- he should be good for 3 innings. Question: does Sully risk trotting out Manning today? Abner will need to work 2-3. Purnell in a clean inning for sure.

If Slater starting and Sooners haven't seen him yet- maybe twice through lineup - that would be great.
