You can go ahead and include Texas in that rabid fan base willing to sell their food stamps or steal money from a children’s hospital to buy their favorite team some players ‘cause they’ll be here in the mix next year too.

 

Well at least there’s some oil money floating around there. Food stamps may be an embellishment, but the children’s hospital thing actually happened.

Just second hand info from a mix of certain higher ups (on the UF academic side) and loose connections to a true mega-donor (ride on the team plane to football away games type). Sometimes that info aligns across those independent sources.

I don’t pretend to have real insider info specific to baseball, but I continue to hear that our NIL is severely lacking across the board. Our mega-donors (my word) just aren’t as interested in supporting like their UGA, Texas, ATM, tOSU, etc counterparts. Is what it is.
