Did OK ST pitch their 1 or their 2 in their first game?

    Their # 1. Their # 2 was 6-3 regular season.

@neutrino_boi posted his stats in the 2024 Regionals thread. Post #26.

I feel like Holiday, who will pitch tonight is their #1. Florida kid that had 2 complete games this year. Two complete games is pretty impressive. Also has best era among those on team with double digit starts on OSU team.

Kid was 17-1 in two years at Florida JC’s.

Cags has to pitch well, if he has control issues we are in trouble.

    He's there number 2. 5'11 righty
This game is all about Cags throwing strikes and someone stepping up that is hitting behind Cags. I could see Sully flipping Shelton from 3 hole tonight.

    jd—

I’d be willing to try Wilson there—let’s see if that produces some pitches for Cags to have a chance.

We will know within the first two innings whether we have the "good" Cags on the mound tonight or not. If he is getting his change up over early we'll know. And hopefully a more consistent umpire behind the plate. The guy yesterday was not.

I feel like Holiday is their 1. He may pitch Saturday but era is better, has thrown more innings, has more K’s, and I think his 2 complete games ( Unless I’m looking at that wrong, maybe I am) say he’s their best pitchers. I never see complete games in college baseball…

Hopefully Cags will have fresher legs throwing on the 2nd day than his normal routine of throwing on the 3rd day.

yep. that is correct.. One of the worst rules ever IMO.. hitting last is the only 'proveable' home field advantage in all of sports ,,again IMO, and they just nulify it. Host should be home every game they play,Supers as well.

Why Ive always said better to be a 3 seed rather than a 2(for chances to win the regional).. If you win you hit last vs most likely 1 seed.. if lose, its a coin flip for home team vs most likely 4 seed.. a win win..
