Good afternoon fellow Gators! Just got back from a very enjoyable 14 mile beach bike ride. Now watching "Moneyball" on AMC while having some lunch. Life is good!
Wind blowing in hard from center. Will have to hit line drives to get one out. High flys and pop ups could be adventurous.
No worrisome clouds. Feels like 82. A breeze with the flags showing that it is blowing toward home. Chamber commerce day for baseball it appears.
Except for the fact that last year's UF and LSU, and this year's Tennessee, ALL were good pitching teams. All three of those teams could afford to hack away and hope for home runs while striking out a ton because all three of those teams had excellent pitching. This year's UF doesn't have that quality of pitching. You can absolutely win with small ball just as much as you can hacking away as long as you have good pitching as well.
Started getting hot at the end. We could go 0-2 or run the table. I could argue 2011 or 2016 were better teams than 2017. Just matters when you are hot and timely hitting. Go Gators. Maybe time for a cold one!
This is been a weakness of our team all year. We have lived and died by the Long ball. This is a very big ballpark and the wind is often blowing in. Would like to see us play some small ball advance players 90 feet at a time.
I'm beginning to believe you have never heard of any of these pitchers. Or is it just my imagination?
