Neely has that fire and competitiveness you want to see in a closer. This sweep softens the blow of last weekend. 14-7 in the SEC with 9 to go. Still got a shot to win the regular season title. Gotta hope Bama, Auburn & Kentucky win today to give us some help.

Yeah, actually like Tejeda’s stuff better than Nesbitt but Nesbitt is 21, not worried about big stage, and definitely needs innings. If I know Sully Tejeda will go against FSU but I’d start Nesbitt as you have to think about who your fourth or fifth starter might be in something like the SEC tournament, regional tournament, etc. etc.

    My thoughts on the game.

Cags really needs to develop a good change up. Once he does that he will be a monster on the bump. He is decent as a fastball/slider pitcher, but if he had a decent change up he would be unfair.

And Cags needs to find a way to pitch where he isn't trying to strike everybody out. It runs his pitch count up really fast and if he doesn't get the borderline calls he issues too many walks. Just going back to why he needs a third pitch and the change up is what I would have him work on. It is the perfect complement to his fastball. That would be my off season homework assignement for him.

Mizzou is really having a difficult season and everything seems to go against them. At one point they were a Top 25 team and then injuries.

Tejada has been doing a little better each time out on the Tuesday games and think he may be a player Sully uses in relief in the post season. May even get a start in the SEC tournament if we get far enough. You're probably right about him starting Tuesday. I was trying to come up with a reason we didn't see Nesbitt today.

Great sweep. Nice to see the Gator bombs still flying out of the yard. Would still see about flipping Heyman and BT in the lineup though.
    GO GATORS!!!!

I’m sure he has worked on a change but his lack of control on his other 2 pitches pretty much tells me what his changeip control looks like lol
