Sully post game:

• walk and HBP in 10th really hurt
• Pitcher at end had only pitched 2 innings all year
• Yost had a really good game
• Little things - Ground ball to Thomas - wished he had thrown home - bases were loaded.

 

Wait, what? Did I miss something? I could swear we had a midweek game in between UK and UGA.

Need at least 2 out of 3 vs Ga next weekend to have a shot at the NCAA. Tall order given the Dawg hitting vs our inconsistent pitching & defense. Suspect Sully is ready for this to end. Has to be as painful to coach as it is to watch.

If somehow our boys take 2/3 from UGa, they probably sneak into the tournament.

When Ty Evans (the second best hitter on the team) suffered a season-ending injury and walked through the dugout without a single teammate walking over to offer a word of comfort or anything -- he went straight down the tunnel, no teammate within 10 feet -- I knew we were done.

 

Absolutely HAVE to win series in Athens. NO uncertainty at all.
