With the infield in and crashing that is not going to be easy task to execute.

Better question, why do you not run from third on the hit to 1B. If they get you, it is 1st and 3rd with one out.

Oh well, we won. Great win after last night.

I called for the squeeze earlier this year in a game between JU and UF in Jacksonville. My buddy and I were sitting at game. We had a runner on third, I believe one out. Colby Halter comes up and he was in a terrible slump. I mentioned the slump to my buddy and said this would be the perfect time for a squeeze bunt. I barely got it out of my mouth and Halter executed a perfect squeeze!

It has been a couple of weeks since I have seen a game on tv but it sure looks like a lot of dead pull swings on most pitches today at the plate. I don’t remember seeing that a few weeks ago.

The only explanation I can think off is we don't bunt much or very well. No matter it all turned out just fine!

    Back from the game.

Pitchers got the benefit of a pretty wide strike zone at the knees both ways and pretty consisent so hard to complain. No wonder there were so few hits. I thought that the Dawg pitchers took better advantage of it throwing a lot of offspeed stuff that was near the plate. Waldrup and Slater threw a lot more fastballs for strikes than the Dawg pitchers did.

Waldrup is a pitcher that relies a lot on the strikeout leading to pitch counts going up way too fast most outings. Somehow he got a bunch of K's and went through seven innings. Not giving up many hits helped a lot.

    Really good baseball game.
