Baseball vs GA, Fri 3/21/25, 6:30 pm

This team does not get quality at bats. Outside of Shelton, we don't have anyone that can't be pitched to. This is another with questionable hitting approach. Is it coaching? I thought Chuck was good.?

 

This is the very definition of coming unraveled….

Just falling short left and right. Too many close losses that a good team would pull out.

Damn, thought we would steal this one, with a lead going to the 9th and our closer in. . . Still early , but given our starting pitching woes, getting concerned, very concerned.

 

Very tough game to lose. 0-4 start in the SEC with TBA starting Saturday is not good.

 

Tomorrow is going to be patched together pitching at best...have to hope some young guys rise to the occasion better than last weeken

I am guessing Billy Barlow and then Charlie Wholestaff….

 

Why does it feel like Charlie whole staff is one or two guys… the cupboard is bare

 

I think I read that in O'Sullivan's post game confrence he said Barlow would start.

 

Slider left hanging after kid could not come close to hitting Philpott’s fastball has me intrigued. Not sure why we throw slider and let him run into one. Kid was clearly struggling to hit first 3 fastballs thrown his way.

 

Agree 2-3 hitters in the lineup that will continue to see curveballs until they stop with the “drop and lift” uppercuts. Those guys not staying back and letting the ball travel at all. The drop and lift will not produce contact and decent college pitchers with decent off speed will continue to throw offspeed. We gave away 10-12 at bats last night.

As far as pitching goes- other teams took advantage of transfer portal and we did not. With past injuries and so many freshman, not many lefties we needed 2-3 experienced JC kids

 

Biemiller looks great. Needs much more time immediately.
