@greencw you gave me an off topic for this info I posted about the Gators baseball team and our starting pitcher. Why?

 

I remember when he was signed the thought was that he was going to be a major contributor this year, possibly even the closer. But from what I've read, he was very inconsistent in fall practices and has never really found his footing at UF. He's a redshirt junior from Panama City who spent 3 years at Wallace CC in Dothan, where he was very successful. Doubt we'll see much more of him this season.

 

Their pitcher has settled in.

 

I think they are still a "clear channel" station which means that no other station broadcasts on that frequency. When the "skip" rolled in after sunset the radio broadcast could reflect and be heard many miles away

When I was a kid and we vacationed at Ft Myers Beach we often got the White Sox night games on WMAQ that was another clear channel station. I don't think WMAQ is still a clear channel station or even a station with a call sign anymore. It was 670 on the AM dial.
