The Owls (7-4, 0-0 Conference USA) come to town for a 2-night stand. FAU opened the '23 season sweeping Monmouth, but were swept this past weekend by UConn. They beat Miami last Tues at home.

Hopefully Gator pitching "breezes" right thru their lineup. Its going to be interesting that's for sure.

For our entire Gators Pitching Staff:
    Pitch, don’t throw…..when you’re in a pitcher’s count—smell the blood in the water—take pride in your job, locate-locate-locate with command/control/and confidence.

Work hard to duplicate your proper mechanics for you!

Leave no doubt that you belong on that mound!

I would imagine Slater gets one of the starts. Tejada the other?

Really hoping Heyman gets a start on Tuesday at least. Not playing at all over the weekend made me wonder if had the flu also. That said Riopelle did a great job handling this team and deserved his time behind the plate. I just think Heyman could at least get some more time at DH when Cags isn't in the DH spot.

Of course unless if we can't find the plate is our location problem.

Unless it’s first hitter, first pitch, 4-seam FB mid-rib cage high to both make a point and set up the DP:devil:

Agree on Heyman and want to see a new group or at least a different rotation of relief pitchers run out there.
    Tejeda to start Tuesday
    Slater Wednesday
    Pen I’d like to see
    Tuesday
    Fisher
    Ursitti
    Nesbitt
    Arroyo
    Wednesday

    Abner
    Jameson
    Purnell
Neely if needed for an inning
Obviously all these guys might not pitch but interested to see a few others get a quality inning or two against a solid club.

Certainly agree with your two starters and relievers for Tuesday. I'm hoping Sully has a few other arms to mix it there for Wednesday like Ficarrotta and Hartzog.

Here's the thing about these two games and our pitchers. This is the last week of with two midweek games. Sully has said he likes to stack all the double midweeks at the start of the season so he can test the bullpen to see what he's got. I agree with that. But I believe it also means after this week a few of these pitchers will see their opportunities given taking a dive. So its real important for a few of these guys that has been struggling to show improvement and prove they can go in there and get some outs. So on Wednesday if you are wondering why Sully has a few troubled arms coming into the game he probably is giving them one last chance at meaningful outs. Otherwise going forward he might only use them with games that are lost causes. I might be putting too much into this but that's just me.
