Friday and Saturday weather forecast variable as a low forms in Gulf and will move east toward us... Hard to say at this point when and how much rain Gainesville will receive but we should prepare for delays and perhaps not begin games until later in the evening. We know the pattern. Try to avoid a repeat of the Saturday night Vandy game when Waldrep looked great in the first inning and then the rains came and ended his night....

 

Going to be a tough game. FAMU has NOTHING to lose and will play loose and free.

Florida will win, though, in the end.

This may be one of those games where we start at seven or 8 o’clock hoping this low pressure system gets out of here soon, but looks like it could linger for a couple of days

 

As Gator baseball starts their run to Omaha, I would like to point out that the UF's Men's Golf Team won a national championship today in Scottsdale, AZ, beating Georgia Tech in the finals after dispatching FSU in the semifinals and Virginia in the Quarterfinals Tuesday. I think it's the men's golf team's 5th national title, but first since 2001. So far this is the only national title for Florida athletics this academic year. They, also, won the SEC championship back in April, beating Vanderbilt in the finals.

Yes! That was a heckuva golf match- I watched on Golf Channel and the wind was howling, the greens cement hard and our guys did a great job in winning with lots of drama. Also note: Gator Fred Biondi won the singles title earlier this week

 

Weather forecast for G'ville has improved some for the weekend with the Gulf Low likely meandering toward the south which may bring in some better weather for us-- PLAY BALL!

 

They are jump starting our NC run in other sports this year
So proud of those guys..you could tell what a close knit group they are...the chemistry is amazing...loved following them

BREAKING: The #Gators will start Jac Caglianone vs FAMU on Friday.

 

I like it. Going with a midweek guy seems a little too cavalier, and it would seem like a waste to use up Sproat or Waldrep against this team.

 

Just as big, Cags could probably use a confidence builder after his last outing.

 

Jac C was named "2nd" team All American per Gator Ath website. I cant seem to find who 1st team is...but whoever it is, I believe has far less stats. Jac, let me introduce you to Eric Crouch and Rex Grossman.
