Baseball vs. Auburn, Sun 4/2, 1:00 pm

Awful performance from the staff this weekend as a whole. Just ugly.

 

If my memory serves me correctly this Auburn team went to the college World Series last year…

 

We are just not playing very good baseball right now. On the mound or at the plate.

 

That might just do it.

 

Yeah, that wasn't this Auburn team, sorry. This Auburn team was swept two weeks ago.

 

This team is one of our best offensive teams we have ever had. Our starting pitching is very good. This is a national championship team.... IF Sully can figure out middle relief.

 

Yeah, our pitching has loads of potential but we ain’t good at this time.

 

Sully gonna have to reshuffle things. Our 2nd best pitcher might be a Tuesday starter. Might need to figure out a way to get Nesbitt and Abner more innings. Both of these guys are not even close to being the most talented picture on the team but both are fighters. Right now what we need our guys that will fight, battle, compete. I’ll take Nesbitt and Abner all day long.

Needs to figure out how to use a Nesbitt in Abner in key situation as both fight and compete every pitch… Neither one of them are Throwers they are actually pitching.

 

I think they are much better than we think they are honestly…

 

Oh yeah, completely agree with you I’m just saying they are better than most are giving them credit for and you have to admire their pesky Ness and how they compete and fight every at bat and every pitch.

 

Our starting pitching is average. Let's not kid ourselves. The body of work to date is average at best.

 

Our weekend starters have not been very good the last 2 weekends. They have to step it up so the bullpen doesn't have to be relied on so much.
