they more then tripled our bids, and we put in very good NIL offers. TN way overpaid for what they were worth. Fischer is basically a DH..Payne grooves pitches at a high rate the Cade did last year...would have nice to have them though

Florida beat Tennessee for Cyr. Yes those guys going to Tennessee isn't great but 3 teams in 3 years? Blame the stupid, ridiculous state of college sports, not UF.

Weren’t we after Amick last year as well? He would have been nice to have at 3rd base this season.

Cyr has UF connections. That helped.

He should fit right in with the other 7+ ERAs. smh

Report: Florida transfer LHP Cade Fisher commits to Auburn - On3

Fisher struck out 76 in 59.1 innings of work this past season, and pairing up with Butch Thompson makes a ton of sense.”

the last part of that gives me a little hope.

Ive seen Fisher pitch plenty of times so familiar w/ his stuff etc.. But what was his biggest diffrence from a good FR year to his not so great So year? Walks, location, all of the above?

    Location—especially in pitcher’s counts.

    Yep.

When he could locate he was tough to hit.

And when he couldn't locate it always seemed to be over the middle of the plate.

He had a decent freshman campaign at UF with not that many walks so at first glance you would think that he had great command. But the opposing batting average was pretty high. Like I said: When he misses it always seemed to be over the middle of the plate.

He would have been a lot more effective with more walks and fewer pitches down Broadway.

I think the kid has some talent but just needs to learn that when you make a mistake make it outside the strike zone and not over the middle. Giving up a walk is much better that giving up a double.

I agree with location. He’s not a number 1 or 2. Velo alone ( sits 90-91) makes it so he can’t get away with much. Even when he got ahead he’d throw 90 out over the plate.

Front page updates with transfer destination for everyone leaving and adding Bobby Boser from South Florida who comes in as a well regarded utility man. Now we need some pitching. Proven pitching. Does anyone know if we are looking at anyone? 2500 players in the portal, Sully get us 2 good arms

You can delete Michael Ross, incoming transfer. He was drafted and signed with The Twins.
