What did FSU do differently than we did in terms of the process? Their 2 superstar hitters and 2/3 of their weekend rotation are their own high school recruits. The rest of their roster around the margins is a combination of high recruits, transfers, and juco's, just like ours and most other big programs.

They obviously did a much better job assembling a complete team for the 2024 season, but this idea that Sully isn't using the portal is nonsense. Last year we had Waldrep and Riopelle, and even this year we got a starting shortstop who's made 4 errors and hit 15 homers. Heck, Donay came in with a higher profile and more success than any other FSU transfer hitter. He just hasn't performed (which coaching could play a part in).

This is a below average team having a bad season in which O'Sullivan has done a bad job, but it's going to take more than one to indicate that there is an issue in how the program is operating. The fact that people are being so fatalistic about this season just shows how high the bar has been set.

Oh by the way we also have the best player in the country.
