A huge stat not to be overlooked from tonight, our pitchers had 15 strikeouts, only 1 walk with 2 HBP. Thus we only gave up 1 unearned run.

And that's why Robertson is our leadoff hitter. Good plate discipline. How many walks does he have 4 games into the season?

 

Batting average is only .214, on-base percentage .421. 3 hits, 5 walks, 1 stolen base, .286 slugging %, .707 OPS. His batting average needs to improve or he'll be a liability at leadoff, regardless of his speed. But it's only 4 games in and way too early to get an accurate gauge on how any of these guys are going to perform over a long season.

 

Agree on all points. Currently 7th in OB% amongst the regulars. Ironically Langford is 8th
